How often do you consider the why behind the work you do? I had the lovely opportunity to tag along on an interview of a high school coach. I was really inspired by his story and thanked him via email when I got back to my office. He responded by saying that he found our conversation really useful, because he had forgotten his why under all the pressures of the job. When he reconnected with his why, he felt motivated to go back into battle and have impact with his kids. It was a great reminder that we can all step back and intentionally explore our own why's. Not because we aren't clear, but because it can re-energize us and help us get through difficult struggles along the way.
